Lauren Crawford, born in Australia, is a Northern Virginia based dancer, choreographer and dance educator. She is trained in social styles of dance (Salsa, Bachata, Cha-cha, Merengue, and Swing) in addition to ballroom fundamentals.

 

She has worked with all ages and all skill levels to not only learn the steps of dancing, but to also build confidence, understand connection, teach dance/social etiquette, and encourage individual expression.

 

Lauren is the founder of RedSand Dance, a social dancing company that embraces community, culture and compassion. She has 15 years of choreography and instructor experience, with the most recent 8 years focusing on latin styles. In addition to running her own events, she actively teaches at other venues throughout D.C, MD and VA.

 

She continues to share her love of teaching dance through one-on-one private lessons. group classes, workshops, festivals and private events.
