Lauren Crawford, born in Australia, is a Northern Virginia based dancer, choreographer and dance educator. She is trained in social styles of dance (Salsa, Bachata, Cha-cha, Merengue, and Swing) in addition to ballroom fundamentals.

 

She has worked with all ages and all skill levels to not only learn the steps of dancing, but to also build confidence, understand connection, teach dance/social etiquette, and encourage individual expression.

 

Lauren is the founder of RedSand Dance, a social dancing company that embraces community, culture and compassion. She has 17 years of choreography and instructor experience, with the most recent 10 years focusing on latin styles. In addition to running her own events, she actively teaches at other venues throughout D.C, MD and VA.

 

She continues to share her love of teaching dance through one-on-one private lessons. group classes, workshops, festivals and private events.

Lauren's favorite secret weapon is her sweet & sassy sister, Leah. It doesn't matter if you've never danced before, or you're an elite dancer, these two girls have the ability to make you feel like you are family.
